In the first half of the year, the export of special vehicles increased by 57.79% year-on-year, and the export of engineering special vehicles was active.
In recent years, as the domestic special vehicle market has become increasingly involution, "going out" has become a path that special vehicle companies must pay attention to. In the first half of 2024, the overall situation of my country's special vehicle exports was good, with a year-on-year increase of 57.79%. Both the number of exporting countries and the export volume showed a significant upward trend.
1.Special vehicle exports increased by 57.79% year-on-year, reaching the export peak in March
According to statistics, a total of 26,401 special-purpose vehicles were exported in the first half of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 57.79%, and an increase of 9,669 units compared with the same period last year. Judging from the monthly situation, monthly export volume has increased significantly compared with 2023. In January and February, 3,054 and 2,862 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 41.45% and 47.22% respectively. In March, the export peak reached 5,953 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 104.92%. From April to June, there was a slight decline, with exports of 4,819 and 4,247 vehicles respectively, still far exceeding the same period last year.
2.7 new trading countries were added, and the export volume of 6 countries exceeded 1,000
In the first half of 2024, special vehicles were sold to a total of 178 countries, adding 7 trading countries. According to the sales distribution, my country's special vehicle exports are uneven. More than 76% of countries export less than 100 units, and there are only 41 countries with more than 100 units. Compared with the same period last year, the number of countries with export volume above 1,000 has increased significantly, from 1 in the same period last year to 6, showing the great development momentum of China's special vehicle export market. Countries with an export volume greater than 1,000 are Equatorial Guinea, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates. The export volume of these six countries accounts for 38.69% of the total. Among them, although Russia's share fell by 6.35%, it is still the largest market for special vehicle exports. In addition, exports from Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and the United Arab Emirates have increased this year, exceeding 1,000 vehicles, accounting for 5.93%, 5.64%, 4.61%, and 3.94% respectively.
3. Engineering exports continue to increase, and the proportion of other special-purpose vehicles expands
In the first half of 2024, a total of 21 types of vehicle models were exported, with two new models: motorized environmental inspection vehicles and mobile radiation inspection vehicles. Motorized concrete mixer trucks were the most exported, with a year-on-year increase of 37.81%. Crane trucks of different weight types are also popular models for export, with a total of 7,473 units exported, accounting for 28.31% of the total export volume, a year-on-year increase of 33.71%. Judging from the situation of exported vehicles, the main exports of special-purpose vehicles in the past two years have been engineering, emergency rescue, medical, petroleum, environmental sanitation and other special-purpose vehicles. There is no significant change in the export popularity ranking in 2024. Among them, the export volume of engineering volume has grown rapidly, with a year-on-year increase of 38.96%. Although the proportion has decreased by 8.93%, it still accounts for the majority of special vehicle exports.
